Helicon 3D Viewer is an easy-to-use application that allows you to view helicon 3D models produced by Helicon Focus. The program requires very low space on your disk and doesn’t require the Helicon Focus program to be installed in order to view the 3D models.
To operate the program you first need to load a model. To do this you need to use the "Load Model" option in the Files tab from the Control Panel. After loading the model, it will be displayed and animated for a given rotation speed and angle. Also you can manually rotate the object by grabbing the mouse in any direction or you can go to the Parameters tab from the Control Panel and use the arrows to rotate the model in a specific direction.
Besides rotating the model, you can set more parameters: you can change the speed of constant rotation; change the angle of the object rotation; change the quality of surface approximation (high, normal or low); you can change the distance of the object; invert the values of the surface, amplify the relief, change the level of surface smoothing; draw a bounding box around the model; change the color of the background; and use the "Discard changes" option to revert to initial parameters.
After making all the desired modifications, you can open the Files tab to save the model with all the changes. You also can save a snap shot of the current view with png, jpg, or tiff format; you can save a stereo pair or anaglyph image of the model; create a HTML page of the animated images; save to a movie file; and export the model to a wavefront OBJ format.
